This beautiful site, nestled just over Kirkstone Pass from Windermere and Ambleside, has been carefully laid out to blend with the breathtaking surroundings of Fairfield and Dove Crag. Sykeside is a very natural feeling place and offers a true ‘outdoor’ feel. A perfect site for your Tipi or Bell tent camping holiday.
The walks from the tent-step are fantastic with Fairfield, Angle Tarn, Helvellyn and Ullswater all just a stone’s throw away.
We offer our “glamping essentials” package at Sykeside Camping Park where the tents are furnished with natural-style woven flooring, rug, & sheepskins. You’ll need to bring everything else you’d normally take camping (sleeping bag, camping bed, pillow etc), minus the tent.
Onsite amenities include modern shower and toilet facilities, a well-stocked shop, laundry and drying spaces, dishwashing areas, and delightful dining options at the Barn End Bar or the Brotherswater Inn.
